Keegan-Michael Key Joins ‘Wonka’
Keegan-Michael Key will star alongside Timothee Chalamet in the musical “Wonka,” based on the life of Willy Wonka.
Roald Dahl’s children’s book “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” is about a poor boy who wins a golden ticket to tour the famous and heavily guarded chocolate factory run by Willy Wonka.
Paul King directs “Wonka.” The producer of the film, which is expected to begin shooting in September, is David Heyman. King wrote the script with Simon Farnaby and Simon Rich. Luke Kelly and Alexandra Derbyshire serve as executive producers, and Michael Siegel is executive producer.
