The Marvel universe continues to expand…
Talks are being held with Renée Elise Goldsberry for the lead role of the “She-Hulk” series, which will be aired on Disney Plus. If the actor signs the deal, he will have joined the other lead actors Tatiana Maslany and Ginger Gonzaga.
The drama follows Bruce Banner’s cousin Jennifer Walters, who inherited the Hulk powers after receiving a blood transfusion from her. Unlike Bruce, Jennifer can retain most of her personality, intelligence, and emotional control.
Details about the character Goldsberry will play have not yet been announced.
Kat Coiro is the director and executive producer of “She-Hulk”. He will direct the pilot and additional episodes of the series. Jessica Gao both writes the series and is on the project as executive producer and show manager. “She-Hulk” is just one of several Marvel miniseries set up on Disney Plus. It’s unclear when “She-Hulk” will officially debut on Disney Plus. The superhero franchise is expected to start production this year and possibly enter broadcast service in 2022.
