In Netflix’s new trailer, we’ll watch Krysten Ritter use witchcraft methods to get her to tell her terrifying stories every night to the two kids she’s trapped in her apartment.
Alex is a creative kid with a strong passion for writing scary stories, but he swears he’ll never write again when seen as weird. That’s when Krysten Ritter, playing the role of an evil witch, catches her in her enchanted apartment in New York City and asks her to tell her a new tale every night if she wants to survive.
Fans of Coraline and Monster House seem to be delighted with the whimsical but scary Nightbooks.
Nightbooks is based on the book by J. A. White and is being adapted for the big screen by Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis. The cast includes Krysten Ritter, Winslow Fegley, Khiyla Aynne, Lidya Jewett, Luxton Handspiker, Miley Haik, and Liam Couvion. The film is directed by David Yarovesky, who is no stranger to horror.
