Work Begins for New Version of Iconic Movie “Bodyguard”.
Playwright Matthew López has joined Warner Bros. to write the remake of the film. The new movie is inspired by the 1992 romantic drama starring Houston and Kevin Costner. The original film grossed more than $400 million at the worldwide box office and is considered the best-selling soundtrack of all time, with several chart-topping original songs from Houston, had seen.
Lawrence Kasdan and Jonathan Eirich are producing the new film. Nick Reynolds will executive produce.
